33 acres of botanical center balances formal gardens with several
sections plated with native wildflowers to reflect the rural areas
of east and southwest Texas lake.

Museum
of Art
Description:
10
buildings of the old Lone Star Brewing Company off Broadway The brewhouse,
with it's modified Romanesque towers and turrets, is now the art museum.
The West and East towers contain four levels of galleries. The complex
along San Antonio River includes a 2.5-acre sculpture garden.
Admission: $4 for adults, $2 over 65 and students, $1.75 ages
4-11. Free to all Tuesdays, 3-9p.m.

Zoological
Gardens and Aquarium
Description:
Contains about 3,400 animals representing 700 species. Especially
notable are Monkey Island, the barless bear pits, and an outdoor hippopotamus
pool. A children's petting zoo also offers boat and elephant rides
for free on weekends.
